Owego, NY (June 5, 2026) – A motorcyclist died in a collision with an SUV early Wednesday morning at the intersection of State Route 434 and Forest Hill Road.
According to New York State Police, the crash was reported around 3:52 a.m. Emergency units attempted life-saving measures for the motorcyclist, but the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The rider was identified as 39-year-old Warren O. Loza of Vestal.
Investigators reported that an SUV entered State Route 434 from Forest Hill Road and did not see the approaching motorcycle, which collided with the vehicle’s side. The driver of the SUV cooperated with the investigation and was transported to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for evaluation, although no details on their injuries were provided.
State Police are actively investigating the circumstances of the incident.
