CENTERVILLE — A motorcycle crash late Sunday afternoon resulted in one fatality on Wilmington Pike.
Authorities responded to the incident around 5:10 p.m. in the 5700 block of Wilmington Pike, according to Centerville dispatchers. A spokesperson for the Centerville Police Department confirmed that the motorcyclist was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
Emergency medical personnel provided immediate assistance at the scene; however, the individual was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of family.
Wilmington Pike was temporarily closed as authorities conducted an investigation into the crash. No additional injuries were reported.
Centerville Police are continuing to investigate the details surrounding the accident.
