Edwardsville police and fire crews responded to a motorcycle and vehicle crash Wednesday night, May 6, at Troy Road and Fifth Avenue.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. near the Taco Bell and Arby’s entrance. A Suzuki motorcycle and a Ford Edge SUV were involved and subsequently towed from the scene.
According to the Edwardsville Police Department, the motorcycle driver was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The Ford Edge driver declined medical assistance.
Northbound Troy Road was closed at Harvard Drive during cleanup, with the scene cleared by 9 p.m.
