Fatal Motorcycle Crash on SR-14 Offramp Under Investigation
Newhall, CA – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred Sunday morning at approximately 10:12 a.m. on the southbound Escondido Canyon Road offramp of State Route 14.
Authorities reported that a motorcyclist and a female passenger were involved in the incident, which prompted calls to emergency services. Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department rendered aid at the scene. The motorcyclist, whose identity has yet to be released, succumbed to injuries on-site, while the female passenger was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
According to Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, spokesman for the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Newhall-area Office, no other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash. The investigation into potential factors such as alcohol or drugs is ongoing.
