ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 27-year-old man from Kissimmee died early Saturday morning after his motorcycle collided with a semi-truck on Taft Vineland Road.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:11 a.m. as both vehicles, a 2025 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle and a 2023 Volvo semi-truck pulling a double trailer, were traveling eastbound on Taft Vineland Road near Sidney Hayes Road.
Authorities said the motorcycle struck the rear of the semi-truck, which was directly ahead. The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck was unharmed and did not require medical transport, remaining at the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol is actively investigating the cause of the collision.
