ATCHISON COUNTY, MO — A motorcycle accident on Highway 136 left a 28-year-old male driver injured Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 1:40 p.m. when the driver, traveling westbound, failed to navigate a curve. The motorcycle veered off the side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver.
Emergency responders transported the driver to Fairfax Community Hospital with moderate injuries. The motorcycle came to rest on the north side of the roadway.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and there were no reported fatalities. The roadway experienced temporary lane closures during the response, and the investigation remains ongoing.
