MANCHESTER, CT. (WFSB) – A 21-year-old woman died following a motorcycle crash on I-384 Eastbound on Friday night, according to STATE POLICE.
The incident occurred at 10:23 p.m. near the Exit 1B on-ramp. A motorcycle collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Equinox in the right-center lane.
The impact caused both riders to be thrown from the motorcycle. As they slid across the highway, the passenger was struck by a BMW in an adjacent lane.
Sariah Isabelle Miranda, 21, of Manchester, was transported to Manchester Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The motorcycle operator, Dante Avant Coleman, 22, also of Manchester, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital.
The drivers of the Chevrolet and BMW reported no injuries and were not transported from the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
