One person was killed and two others injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in Potter County on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that a 2013 Harley Davidson Road Glide motorcycle was traveling west on the south frontage road of I-40 near Arnot Road. Simultaneously, a 2016 Ford Fusion was heading east on the same road before merging onto I-40.

According to DPS, the motorcycle failed to yield at a yield sign and collided with the Ford. The rider, 38-year-old Kyle Edward Blazer of Chillicothe, Ohio, was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The 69-year-old driver of the Ford, a Kokomo, Indiana resident, and a 17-year-old male passenger from Oklahoma City were transported to BSA with minor injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Road conditions were reported dry and clear in a 55 mph zone. The Texas Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation, which remains ongoing.
