22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies After Running Red Light in Loganville
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A motorcyclist died early Thursday morning after allegedly running a red light in Loganville.
Gwinnett Police reported that 22-year-old Bailey Hill of Monroe, Georgia, was involved in a collision around 8:30 a.m. Hill was traveling east on Highway 78 when his motorcycle struck a GMC Acadia heading north on Rosebud Road. He was ejected from the motorcycle and later died at a local hospital.
Following the collision, the SUV veered off the road, striking a sign. Authorities believe Hill ran a red light, and both vehicles have been impounded for further investigation. Investigators did not indicate any charges are expected against the other driver.
Hill’s family has been notified of his passing. An ongoing investigation is being conducted by Gwinnett Police.
This incident marks the second significant event in the area within a week; another recent report involved a police shooting in the same vicinity.
