Motorcycle Crash Claims Life in Phoenix
PHOENIX — A motorcycle crash in Phoenix on Monday night resulted in the death of a 36-year-old rider, authorities said.
The incident occurred near Orangewood and 23rd avenues at approximately 10:30 p.m. The Phoenix Police Department reported that the rider, identified as Marvin Roy Logons III, lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a large wooden utility pole after riding onto the sidewalk.
First responders from the Phoenix Fire Department found Logons critically injured at the scene. He was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. There are no reports of other vehicles involved or additional injuries.
