Howard County police investigate fatal motorcycle crash involving transit bus in Columbia Wednesday night.
COLUMBIA, Md. —
Authorities said the driver of a 2024 Suzuki GSX1300 was traveling eastbound on Route 32 when he attempted to pass a transit bus.
The motorcycle collided with the bus between Route 29 and Shaker Drive, leading to the motorcycle driver’s death at the scene.
The bus driver was present and reported no injuries. Investigators believe speed may have contributed to the collision.
Route 32 eastbound was closed for approximately four and a half hours as police conducted the investigation.
