Motorcyclist Injured in Fort Pierce Crash
A 30-year-old motorcyclist sustained head injuries in a crash on Delaware Avenue in Fort Pierce on June 24.
The incident occurred around 11:55 a.m. when the rider, traveling east on Delaware Avenue at South 17th Street, lost control, struck the median, and was thrown from the motorcycle, according to Maj. Michael Santiago of the Fort Pierce Police Department. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders transported the individual to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. His condition was not immediately available later that afternoon.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
