CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A 23-year-old man from Potosi was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Oakbend Road Thursday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on July 23 when the motorcyclist attempted a left turn at Irish Drive. His Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a Chevrolet Silverado driven by an 88-year-old man from Sunrise Beach.
Authorities reported that visibility for both drivers was limited due to a hill crest. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was airlifted by MU Air Care to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. The Chevrolet driver was unharmed, and his vehicle sustained minor damage.
A private party removed the totaled motorcycle from the scene. No further details about the investigation have been released.
