Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash on I-84 Near Jerome
JEROME — A motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital Saturday evening following a crash on Interstate 84 southeast of Jerome.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:06 p.m. when a 49-year-old man from Gresham, Oregon, riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson FXDBI westbound, left the roadway and entered the median. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to Idaho State Police.
Emergency responders, including the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, MAGIC VALLEY PARAMEDICS, and JEROME RURAL FIRE, assisted at the scene. The rider was airlifted by Air St. Luke’s to a nearby hospital for treatment, but his name and condition have not been disclosed.
The crash resulted in lane closures that lasted approximately an hour and a half, with efforts ongoing to clear the scene. Authorities stated that the investigation is currently underway by Idaho State Police.
