A 40-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a passenger vehicle Thursday morning in Hialeah, authorities said.

Emergency responders from the Hialeah Fire Department arrived to find the motorcyclist suffering from severe traumatic injuries. The rider was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment as a trauma alert patient.
