A motorcyclist died following a collision with a car in San Luis Obispo on Tuesday morning, March 24, 2026.
According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, the crash occurred shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Broad Street. A southbound motorcyclist struck a vehicle that was turning left from the northbound lanes onto Caudill Street.
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. No impairment is suspected.
The Severe Collision Investigation Detail team is conducting an investigation into the incident. Roadway conditions and lane closures were not reported as impacted.
