Rochester, N.Y. — A 36-year-old man is in critical condition following a motorcycle and SUV collision at North Clinton Avenue and Norton Street on Saturday night, according to Rochester police.
The crash occurred just after 11 p.m. when the motorcycle, traveling westbound on Norton Street, collided with an eastbound SUV that was making a left turn into a gas station, said Lt. Anthony DelVecchio of the Rochester Police Department.
Authorities confirmed that the SUV had three occupants, who remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. A 21-year-old female passenger from Rochester suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.
The motorcyclist was also taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and remains in critical condition, police stated.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. The intersection was closed temporarily for the investigation but has since reopened to traffic.
