Motorcyclist critically injured in Pulaski County crash on Saturday evening.

A Waynesville man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash in Pulaski County on Saturday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred around 6:13 p.m. on Highway W, north of Repeat Drive. A 38-year-old man was riding a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing the motorcycle to veer off the right side of the roadway, overturn, and eject the rider.

Authorities reported that the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was airlifted by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for medical treatment.

The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was recovered by a family friend.

The MSHP is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
