Motorcyclist critically injured in west Phoenix crash.

PHOENIX (Local News Wire) — A motorcyclist was critically injured after running a red light and colliding with a minivan Monday night in west Phoenix.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8 p.m. near 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, where the crash occurred.

Authorities reported the motorcyclist was transported to a hospital in “extremely critical condition.” The driver of the minivan was uninjured and did not require hospitalization.

According to Phoenix Police, the initial investigation revealed that the motorcycle ran a red light and struck the minivan, which was turning left at the time.

The intersection was closed for clean-up following the incident, and debris was cleared from the roadway.
