KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A two-vehicle crash on an Interstate 470 exit ramp left one motorcyclist dead Wednesday evening.
The collision occurred at approximately 6:04 p.m. on the exit ramp near Pryor Road, according to the Lee’s Summit Police Department.
Edward M. Strickland, 34, of Kansas City, Missouri, was riding a motorcycle when he struck the rear of a truck, police said.
Strickland was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The truck driver was evaluated at the scene but declined medical transport.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
