Fatal Collision in Greenbelt Claims One Life
A fatal collision occurred at 3:45 a.m. on Greenbelt Road near Aerospace Road, resulting in one confirmed death.
Authorities identified the victim as 36-year-old Alonzo Bibines III from Glenn Dale. He was found in the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
According to the preliminary investigation, Bibines was traveling westbound on Greenbelt Road when a sedan, driven eastbound, attempted a left turn onto Aerospace Road and collided with him.
Emergency responders from the PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT arrived shortly after the incident. No additional injuries were reported.
As a result of the crash, Greenbelt Road experienced lane closures while an investigation continued. The investigation is being conducted by the PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT.
