COTTAGE GROVE, MINN. (Valley News Live) – A motorcyclist died Sunday morning, July 26, following a collision with an SUV at Highway 61 and Highway 95.
The incident occurred around 9 a.m. in Washington County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A 2024 Aprilia RSV4 motorcycle was traveling northwest on Highway 61 when the rider lost control and collided with a 2025 Honda Passport, which was southbound on Highway 95, authorities said.
The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man from Hastings, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity will be released on Monday, July 27.
Jess Alan Brown, 62, of Woodbury, was the driver of the Honda Passport and was uninjured in the crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol, alongside Washington County law enforcement, Cottage Grove Police Department, and emergency services, is conducting the investigation.
