Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Truck Near Rocky Mountain High School
MERIDIAN, Idaho — A 20-year-old motorcyclist died following a crash involving a truck on Friday morning.
The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the 5400 block of N. Linder Road near Rocky Mountain High School, according to Meridian Police Department (MPD). A Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling north when it collided with a Jeep Gladiator that entered Linder Road.
Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and received medical attention at the scene but was later pronounced dead. The individual was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
MPD has not released the motorcyclist’s identity, which will be disclosed by the Ada County Coroner’s Office after notifying next of kin. No students from Rocky Mountain High School were involved in the accident.
In response to the incident, the West Ada School District implemented a traffic plan to alleviate congestion in the area. MPD is continuing to investigate the crash and has not provided additional information at this time.
