BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa — One person is dead following a motorcycle crash on Highway 218 Sunday evening, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. when a northbound motorcycle collided with the rear of a pickup truck.
The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities have not yet released their identity.
Emergency responders were on site, and the investigation is ongoing. No additional injuries were reported.
As a result of the crash, Highway 218 experienced temporary lane closures.
