MEADOW LAKES, Alaska (KTUU) – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a van on the Parks Highway Monday evening.
The incident occurred at the intersection of the Parks Highway and Potter Road around 8:33 p.m., according to the Alaska State Troopers. The motorcyclist was transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead. Authorities have notified next of kin.
Southbound lanes of the Parks Highway were closed for several hours as Troopers conducted their investigation and cleared the scene. The investigation remains ongoing. Witnesses are encouraged to contact Trooper Christopher Hall at Christopher.Hall@Alaska.gov.
