Albuquerque – A fatal vehicle versus motorcycle crash occurred around 10 PM on September 30 near Gibson Blvd SE and Carlisle Blvd SE.
The motorcyclist died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision. Authorities confirmed that the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) is conducting an investigation into the crash.
While securing the area, another vehicle struck an APD officer’s car near Gibson Blvd SE and Maxwell St SE. The impact reportedly pushed the vehicle into the officer, who sustained no injuries. The driver of the vehicle was detained, and a firearm was recovered from inside.
APD’s Motor Unit is handling the investigation. Gibson Blvd is closed between Amherst Dr SE and Maxwell St SE, and Carlisle Blvd is closed between Crest Ave SE and Gibson Blvd as a result of ongoing investigation and emergency response.
