WACO, Texas (KWTX) – A 48-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Thursday morning, October 15, in Waco.
According to the Waco Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 12:36 a.m. at the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Hillcrest Drive.
Police report that a Nissan Altima was turning left onto Hillcrest Drive when it was struck by a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Lake Shore Drive, colliding with the rear of the vehicle.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have notified the next of kin and will release the victim’s identity later.
A passenger on the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, as per the press release.
The driver of the Nissan was cooperative with police, and no arrests have been made at this time. The Nissan’s occupants were unharmed.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to authorities.
