Motorcyclist Dies Following Collision with SUV in Richland County
COLUMBIA, S.C. — A motorcyclist died after a collision with an SUV in northeast Richland County on August 14.
The incident occurred at 9:25 p.m. on Clemson Road, near the intersection of Rhame Road. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the SUV was traveling east when it attempted to make a left turn onto Rhame Road, colliding with the westbound motorcycle.
Emergency responders transported the motorcycle driver to a hospital, where the individual later succumbed to injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The Richland County Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the deceased motorcyclist. Authorities reported the collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
