ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Local News Wire) – A motorcycle crash on I-44 near 7th Street resulted in one fatality Tuesday night.
The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m., according to authorities. A motorcyclist traveling westbound swerved across lanes, reportedly attempting to exit onto 7th Street, and collided with a Ford Fusion.
Following the initial impact, the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike, which was subsequently struck by another vehicle, igniting both the motorcycle and that vehicle.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Both drivers of the cars involved remained on the scene and are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
