ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Local News Wire) – A motorcyclist died in a crash on I-44 near 7th Street Tuesday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. when the motorcyclist, traveling westbound, swerved across lanes and struck a Ford Fusion.
Following the collision, the motorcyclist was ejected and subsequently dragged by another vehicle, igniting a fire involving both the motorcycle and the vehicle.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Both drivers of the cars remained on scene and are cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to authorities.
