BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A motorcycle crash on Route 22 East resulted in a fatality on Saturday night, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 8:31 p.m. in the vicinity of Bridge Street. A Nissan sedan and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle were involved, with investigators indicating the Nissan’s driver entered the motorcycle’s lane of travel.
The motorcyclist, a man from South River, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released. The driver and passenger of the Nissan were unharmed, according to officials.
The Somerset County Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team and Bridgewater Police Department Traffic Safety Unit are leading the investigation, which is ongoing.
