WATERFORD, CT — A 55-year-old man from Rhode Island died in a motorcycle crash on Route 32 south near Smith Cove Saturday night just before 11:20 p.m.
According to authorities, Thomas Peabody of Westerly was riding a Harley Davidson when he struck a guardrail, causing him to be ejected into the adjacent woods. Witnesses reported that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Peabody was pronounced dead at the scene.
