CLAY COUNTY, Mo. —
A 53-year-old man from Minnesota was killed Thursday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on southbound Interstate 35 in Clay County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reported the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. The motorcycle veered off the left side of the highway, colliding with a guardrail. The rider was ejected and came to rest in the left lane.
Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
As troopers conducted their investigation, all lanes of southbound I-35 were closed near Pleasant Valley Road.
