TULLY, N.Y. — A motorcycle crash in Tully on Wednesday resulted in one fatality, according to the New York State Police.
The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. on State Highway 281, near Meeting House Road. Emergency crews transported to the scene confirmed details of the crash.
Authorities stated a preliminary investigation indicated an SUV was attempting to turn left from a parking lot onto State Highway 281 when it collided with an eastbound motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene; their name has not been released pending family notification. The driver of the SUV was unharmed.
Lanes were temporarily closed while responders attended to the scene, but they have since reopened. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
