Motorcyclist Dies in Early Morning NJ Turnpike Crash in Edison.

A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike early Sunday morning, prompting lane closures in Edison.

According to the New Jersey State Police, the incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 84.6. Upon arrival, troopers found the rider had been ejected from the motorcycle and sustained severe injuries.

The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities closed a portion of the Turnpike to facilitate a thorough investigation, causing traffic delays during the early morning hours. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the New Jersey State Police.
