Motorcyclist dies in fatal crash on 40th St.SE in Rochester.

ROCHESTER, Minn. — A motorcyclist died in a collision with an SUV near Highway 63 on Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred around 11:05 a.m. at the intersection of 40th Street Southeast and Woodlake Drive, according to authorities. The motorcyclist, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the SUV driver sustained no injuries.

Eastbound lanes of 40th Street Southeast were closed from the Highway 63 ramp to St. Bridget Road Southeast as the Rochester Police Department’s Forensic Mapping Unit investigated. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
