A motorcyclist was killed Sunday night in a crash on Geiger Grade, closing State Route 341 for several hours.
According to the Nevada State Police, the incident occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. involving an adult male, the sole rider of the motorcycle, near C Street.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the motorcyclist has not been released.
As authorities continue their investigation, State Route 341 remains closed between B Street and D Street. The road is expected to reopen around 2:00 a.m. Monday.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use B Street as a detour. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
