Motorcyclist Dies in Green County Crash.

Town of Jordan, Wis. (WMTV) – A two-vehicle collision led to one fatality on State Highway 81 in the Town of Jordan on Wednesday.

Emergency dispatchers received multiple 911 calls shortly after 2 p.m. regarding the crash in the W7800 block.

According to the Green County Sheriff’s Office, an SUV traveling westbound failed to yield while making a left turn and struck an eastbound motorcycle.

The motorcycle’s operator, a 68-year-old man from Argyle, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Authorities noted that the rider was wearing eye protection but not a helmet at the time of the incident.

State Highway 81 was closed for over four hours during the investigation.

Names of those involved are currently withheld as the investigation continues. This marks Green County’s fourth traffic fatality in 2026.

The scene was attended by the Green County Sheriff’s Office, Browntown Fire Department, Monroe Rural Fire Department, Green County EMS, and the Wisconsin State Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit.
