Motorcyclist dies in crash on I-35 in Clarke County, Iowa.
NEW VIRGINIA, Iowa —
A fatal motorcycle accident occurred Wednesday evening on I-35, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The incident took place between the New Virginia exit and the exit five miles north of Osceola.
Authorities said a motorcycle collided with a trailer being towed.
The motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Jordan James Wilson from Des Moines, was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
This year, 175 fatalities have been recorded on Iowa roads, an increase from the same time last year.
