Woodbridge Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Old Bridge Road
A 36-year-old Woodbridge man died Saturday night in a motorcycle crash on Old Bridge Road, Lake Ridge.
According to Prince William County Police, Michael Layne Hall was riding a 2014 Yamaha YZF-R1 eastbound at 10:53 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a right curve near Colby Drive. His motorcycle crossed the median, striking a traffic sign and guardrail.
Hall was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities stated that speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the incident.
Emergency response teams were on the scene, and the roadway was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
