KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A fatal motorcycle crash occurred early Wednesday in Independence, resulting in the death of a male motorcyclist.
The incident took place at approximately 12:58 a.m. near U.S. Highway 24 and Duvall Avenue. Authorities said the motorcyclist was traveling west when he lost control.
Independence Police Department officers discovered the man on the ground off the roadway and provided first aid, but he was pronounced dead at 1:29 a.m.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Independence Police Department.
