1 motorcyclist dead after crash in Port Charlotte
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. —
A motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving an SUV and two motorcycles on US-41 on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. at the intersection of US-41 and Centennial Boulevard.
FHP reported that the SUV was making a left turn from Centennial Boulevard, traveling across US-41, when it failed to yield to the motorcycles traveling southbound.
Both motorcycles collided with the SUV, resulting in the death of the driver of one motorcycle at the scene.
Authorities stated that the investigation into the crash is ongoing, with details about the second motorcyclist and any reported injuries pending.
