A 33-year-old man died following a motorcycle accident south of New Plymouth on August 25.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and SE 2nd Avenue. According to Idaho State Police, the man was riding a 1994 Yamaha XJ600 motorcycle when he attempted to avoid a collision with a turning vehicle. He crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, colliding with a 2020 Toyota Tacoma that was making a left turn.
The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on August 27. The Tacoma, driven by a 25-year-old woman from New Plymouth and containing a juvenile passenger, reported no injuries.
Idaho State Police are investigating the incident.
