BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX NEWS) — A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Boyle County on Tuesday afternoon, according to officials.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Alum Springs Road and Houge Hollow Road at approximately 3:59 p.m. Emergency responders from the Boyle County Fire Department were dispatched by the Danville 911 Center.
The collision involved a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle. The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene, while the occupant of the passenger vehicle sustained no injuries.
Authorities closed the roadway for about 2 hours to allow for emergency response and investigation.
The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office and the Boyle County Coroner’s Office are leading the investigation into the crash.
The Boyle County Fire Department expressed condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
