A motorcycle crash on westbound I-40 near Western Avenue claimed the life of 30-year-old Jeffery Morrison on March 18, 2026.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), Morrison was riding a motorcycle when a Toyota struck him, causing him to lose control and collide with a semi-truck. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Morrison’s sisters remember him as the “wild child” of the family. “He was always careful behind the wheel and loved working on things,” said his sister Adrianna Morrison. “He was excited about becoming a dad; sadly, he will never meet his unborn child.”
The crash is currently under investigation, with authorities looking into the circumstances that led to the deadly collision. Witnesses reported the vehicles were traveling westbound on I-40 at the time of the incident.
In the wake of their loss, Morrison’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to assist with funeral expenses. “It leaves such a huge hole in our hearts,” his sister Stormie Carlson expressed.
Lane closures were in effect during the initial investigation, but the roadway has since reopened.
