Motorcyclist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 153 in Hixson
HIXSON, TN — A 19-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 153 on Tuesday at approximately 2:40 p.m., according to Chattanooga Police.
The incident occurred in the 5700 block of Highway 153 when an SUV turned across southbound lanes into a parking lot. The motorcyclist collided with the passenger side of the SUV, which then struck a parked vehicle, authorities said.
Responding units from the Chattanooga Police Department’s traffic unit are currently investigating the crash. No further details about injuries to other parties involved were confirmed. Towing services were requested at the scene, and lane closures were reported while the investigation took place.
