A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a truck at the intersection of North Avenue and Cannell Avenue in Grand Junction on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. as the motorcycle was traveling westbound on North Avenue and collided with a truck turning onto North Avenue from southbound Cannell Avenue, authorities said.
Paramedics from the Grand Junction Fire Department provided lifesaving efforts, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD). The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after notifying next of kin.
