Motorcyclist fatally injured in crash on College Avenue.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A motorcyclist critically injured in a collision with a sedan on College Avenue has died, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).

The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, near 33rd Street in the Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood. Authorities reported that both the motorcycle and the black sedan were traveling northbound when they collided.

Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist, a man whose identity has not yet been released, to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later that evening.

The driver of the sedan, a woman, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. She was also taken to a hospital for a blood draw, a standard procedure following accidents involving serious injuries.

IMPD stated that alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
