LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — A motorcycle crash on Interstate 77 claimed the life of a 21-year-old man early Sunday morning.
According to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, Pablo Marcelo Caballero Molina of Hopkins was involved in the accident at approximately 2:30 a.m. near the Interstate 26 interchange.
Authorities reported that Caballero Molina was traveling at a high rate of speed when he struck a concrete barrier, resulting in him being thrown from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident. No other vehicles were reported to be involved.
