Motorcyclist Flees After Striking Two Pedestrians in Seattle Crosswalk
Seattle, WA – A motorcyclist struck two pedestrians in a crosswalk on Martin Luther King Jr. Way at South Alaska St. around 8:20 p.m. on Friday, leaving one person unconscious.
According to authorities, the collision involved a red motorcycle traveling southbound when it failed to stop at the crosswalk. The victims, a 59-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman, were both struck. Emergency responders found the woman unconscious and in critical condition, suffering significant head trauma.
Medics from the Seattle Fire Department provided immediate treatment to both victims. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition, while the woman was taken to the same facility in critical condition.
Witnesses reported that the motorcyclist fled the scene following the collision. Police have not identified the motorcyclist and are seeking public assistance in locating the individual. Detectives from the Seattle Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigation Squad are conducting the investigation.
